# Introduction

Panoptes is a Discord app that helps communities detect and remove image-based spam. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using the bot and the responsibilities of both you and us.

By adding Panoptes to a Discord server or using its moderation features, you agree to these Terms.

# Using Panoptes

Panoptes is intended to help moderators identify and remove image-based spam. The bot only processes messages containing image attachments in servers where it has been installed.

You're responsible for deciding whether Panoptes is appropriate for your community and for configuring any moderation settings the bot provides.

You agree not to use Panoptes to:

• interfere with or disrupt the operation of the service,
• attempt to bypass or manipulate its spam detection systems,
• use the service in violation of Discord's Terms of Service or applicable laws, or
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to Panoptes or its supporting infrastructure.

# Automated Moderation

Panoptes uses automated systems to detect spam images.

No automated system is perfect. The bot may occasionally identify legitimate images as spam or fail to detect spam images.

By enabling automatic moderation features, you acknowledge that Panoptes may automatically delete messages containing image attachments that it identifies as spam.

# Availability

We aim to keep Panoptes available and reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time. This includes changing how spam detection works, introducing new features, fixing bugs, or responding to abuse.

# Paid Features

Some features of Panoptes may be offered as paid subscriptions or subject to usage limits.

If paid features become available, we'll clearly explain the applicable pricing and billing terms before you purchase them.

We may change pricing, available plans, or included features in the future. Changes won't affect any subscription period you've already paid for unless required by law.

# Disclaimer

Panoptes is provided on a best-effort basis.

While we work to provide accurate spam detection, we don't guarantee that the service will detect every spam image or that every detection will be correct.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Panoptes is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

# Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Panoptes.

This includes, but isn't limited to:

• messages that are incorrectly identified as spam,
• spam that isn't detected,
• messages deleted by automated moderation,
• interruptions to the service, or
• loss of data resulting from your use of the bot.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

# Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Panoptes processes and stores information while providing the service. By using Panoptes, you acknowledge that information will be processed as described in that policy.

# Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Panoptes after those changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
